Last week, Greater Ohio Policy Center (GOPC) formally launched a new website, www.ohiobrownfields.com, to serve as a one-stop-shop for all information pertaining to the new Ohio Brownfield Remediation Fund.
Earlier this year, the Ohio General Assembly provided $350 million in one-time funding for the new Ohio Brownfield Remediation Fund, which will provide grants to remediate the thousands of former commercial and industrial sites in Ohio that meet the definition of a brownfield.
While rules are still being developed for this new program, the Revitalizing Ohio’s Brownfields website will help to provide information about the new program, rules (once they are in place), and other brownfields resources available in Ohio.
