The Revitalizing Ohio’s Brownfields Initiative has announced the launch of a new webinar series, Investing in Ohio Through Brownfield Remediation.
Local changemakers are excited about the new opportunities the Brownfields Remediation Fund provides Ohio's communities to remediate brownfields. This webinar series will offer attendees the tools and resources to tackle brownfields, learn updates on the Brownfields Remediation Fund, and connect local changemakers with environmental professionals.
The webinar series kicks-off on Wednesday, November 10 at 11:00am with Preparing and Prioritizing: Assembling a Plan of Action for Brownfield Remediation Projects.
Ohio's newly created Brownfield Remediation Fund holds great possibilities for local communities. However, local government staff and elected officials may be unsure how to begin preparing to apply for and utilize BRF funds. This webinar will provide attendees with an overview of what it takes to see a brownfield project through from start to finish. Panelists will explain what due diligence local leaders should do on a potential site, what expertise a community might want to assemble to ensure a successful and cost-efficient remediation project, and what to expect each step of the project.
Panelists for this webinar include:
David Ebersole, Director of Economic Development | City of Cleveland
Jeffry Harris, Public Financing Attorney | Bricker & Eckler, LLP
Craig Kasper, Executive Vice President | Hull & Associates, LLC
Sarah Lown, Public Finance Manager | Western Reserve Port Authority
Aaron Clapper, Senior Manager of Outreach and Projects with Greater Ohio Policy Center will serve as moderator of this inaugural brownfields webinar.
The webinar is free, but you must register in advance to attend.
