Today is Election Day across the United States, and here in Ohio, voters will be electing a number of important local officials who will help to shape the direction of our state for the next several years. In addition, a number of important ballot issues will appear statewide and locally.

Polls will be open today from 6:30am until 7:30 pm. If you are in line to vote when the polls close, you will still be permitted to wait and cast your ballot. Ohio law requires everyone who votes to already be registered, and to have an ID when you arrive at the polls. Acceptable forms of ID include:
Ohio driver's license that is NOT expired;
State of Ohio ID card that is NOT expired;
Interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV that is NOT expired;
A US passport that is NOT expired;
A US passport card that is NOT expired;
US military ID card that is NOT expired;
Ohio National Guard ID card that is NOT expired; or
US Department of Veterans Affairs ID card that is NOT expired
All photo IDs must have the following:
A photograph of the voter;
The voter’s name, which must substantially conform to the voter’s name as it appears in the Poll List or in the Poll Book
